We have used Mick (Barry Thompson Building Service) on a number of occasions, these have included renovations , extensions, rebuilding or adding stairs, general decking and pool decking. Projects Mick has complete for us include entire room additions or jobs as small as adding a wardrobe. Barry is very fussy about his work. Jobs are done properly and promptly. We
have been very happy with the work performed and haven’t had to call him
back for rework.

We had a master bedroom extension built by Mick in the middle of 2013. We were highly impressed by Mick’s honesty, efficiency, expertise, work ethic and overwhelming flexibility throughout the entire process, not to mention that we are over the moon with the final result. We could not be happier with the overall service and craftsmanship provided by Mick and his team of subcontractors, all of whom were selected by Mick. Our tiny three bedroom, one bathroom, home is now a four bedroom home with a gorgeous ensuite and huge walk in robe from the master bedroom, along with a private deck overlooking our pool. My wife and I recently decided to renovate our outdoor area and requested several quotes. We finally settled on Barry Thompson of “Coastal Building and Extensions” as Barry, or Mick, as he prefers to be called, arrived on time to give the quote, was strongly against shortcuts and acted in a very professional manner. Mick spelt out every detail of the quote and even renegotiated his price when he agreed to allow me to be his labourer, which reduced the cost of the project considerably. Before anything started we entered into a very professional and precise contract which left no doubt as to the conditions, guidelines and cost of the job. I believe that Mick and I worked as a good team and all through the project I found Mick to be very innovative and a great problem solver. I believe that he also became a good friend to my wife and I. The finished product was nothing short of exceptional and was finished in a very timely manner, well within the contract period. My wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending Mick for any tasks that he took on.
